We Need a New Computer

So I haven't blogged in a while because I am losing my patience. Not my patience for blogging, but my patience for my computer. Something is seriously wrong with it AND our laptop. We are experiencing major technological difficulties on Cordillera Way. I think we are going to give in and buy a Mac, but I cannot handle the Apple Store (again, the patience thing) so maybe I will be surprised one day to see one on our desk. - hint hint-


A lot has happened in the month of October, and I cannot believe it is already 1/2 way over! OU/TX- with a victory, our Junior League Christmas extravaganza, the Watonga Cheese Festival, my husband's family reunion, our good friends got engaged and our friend Kim's 30th birthday (which is actually today)!! Happy 30th Kim!

We went to celebrate her birthday Friday night at the Melting Pot. I love that place; Z tolerates it. He cannot wrap his mind around spending that kind of money for "snacks". Whatev- it is a really fun place.

I digress.... Every year I look forward to the Watonga Cheese Festival, and my husband thinks I am nuts. There is something sweet about a small town festival and it excites me. Well, not this year. I was so disappointed, I almost cried. People look forward to small town festivals for one reason - Homemade arts and crafts. Now, not the cheesy wood cut outs of the lady bending over showing her bloomers, but stuff that you can't buy at the local Communist store, aka Wal-Mart. I love holiday decor, homemade baked goods and dips, jewelry, kitchen towels and scrubbers, candles, you know... those items. Well, unfortunately, the people that make them must be a dying breed, because almost everything I saw had the three words I hate, Made-In-China. Boo. I walked out with one thing - a cute thing, nonetheless, but only one. My heart ached. The positive thing about the Cheese Festival, is that I did get a picture of Z and his mom where they really look alike; don't you think? Oh! I forgot one other thing that made the Cheese Festival okay...

HILARIOUS! This was the mayor's way of transportation in the parade! I giggled about that for hours; too cute. ~Amy
