Well, shot number two is a done deal. So far, they are not hurting, or burning, as much as I remembered. Maybe it is because I am not focusing as much on them this go around. Tonight our friends Jarrod and Magan had to get in the mix. That is the one thing about these shots that stink. We have to plan our evenings around our refrigerated medicines! If the shots did not have to be at a certain temperature, I would just fill up the syringe and carry it with me in my purse. Not the case! I cooked dinner and they joined us. My father-in-law loves cherry pie, so I made one to see if it is edible for Fathers Day and I think will a little sugar on the fresh cherries, it will be a go! I cannot believe we have not seen them since his high school reunion! That seems like so long ago and it has only been 3 weeks. I still cannot get over how much fun we had.
So this go around, besides getting relaxing massages, I am also going to remain positive, and be thankful for something daily. What brings me joy? As I stated yesterday, music. So every day on our blog we are going to think of a song that makes both of us smile and share with all of you. Maybe it will make you feel better, too! So, day two’s song du jour is: “She’s a Bad Mama Jama” by Carl Carlton. Sure, I was 3 (My husband was still in “months”) when it was a hit, but thanks to my mom, I have always known good music. I grew up with music playing in our house, car, pool, anywhere we were. What a great form of expression- I could go on and on… Did I mention that he has come a long way? Funny side story, when we first met, I was listening to James Taylor. My husband, not knowing who he was, asked who sang the song I was listening to. When I answered, James Taylor, he asked who that was. Seriously??? I about died! Then when I explained that he is a musical legend that is in almost every household he thought I was lying. He had to ask my mom if she knew James Taylor…she laughed…he believed me. Back to the point, “She’s a Bad Mama Jama” is hilarious and has a great beat. Mama Jama? Where did that even come from? It is a great song for every woman to have in her back pocket and pull it out when you need a small lift! What am I thankful for today? I am thankful for a magnificent husband who is open minded, thus willing to try new things! (Like good music!!)
On to day three!
