Pop-Art & Babies & Snuggies, Oh My!

So (drum roll, please) we OFFICIALLY emptied our suitcase from Boston yesterday! Woo-hoo! How sad?!? I'm usually on top of my game, but wow!!! As previously stated B-U-S-Y!

This week we had "Pop-Art Your Pup" class, a baby shower for the Jenkins and then an OU v. Cincinnati watch party to go to. Needless to say, yesterday was a day at home. Have I ever mentioned the game we play to clean our house? Well, I hate to clean, Z hates to clean, we STILL need a maid.... anyway, I write all of our rooms on paper and put them in a cup. Then Z draws out a room and whatever room that is, we clean it. Once it is clean, we take a break and watch TV, or read, or get on the computer - whatever- for about 30 minutes and then draw another room. Sometimes I want to cry when we draw the kitchen, but we do it. Yesterday we got a ton done (including the suitcase). Here is what we attempted to tackle but got too overwhelmed - the "nursery". This room was designated as the nursery when we bought the house. It was in great shape until the 2nd failed in-vitro and it turned into our "junk room". Unfortunately for our checkbook it has turned into things I HAD to have, that I have never put anywhere in our house, or things that have been replaced. We have a ton of lamps, picture frames, art work, antique furniture, etc.... I wrote that room down 5x and I don't think it will be enough. We decided that we would spend 20 minutes in there each time we drew that room, and it still looks like a FEMA disaster area...

Moving on to better things - Pop-Art Your Pup class. It was a lot of fun. Z had never painted before and was worried about his ability. Like anything he does, he was amazing at it and his picture was one of the best:

Friday night we hosted the Jenkins baby shower. That was a good time as well. I made my "Christmas" cheesecake:

and my homemade spaghetti and meatballs (or as Z likes to call it - thanks to Jersey Shore- my "gravy"). It turned out well, and we finally got to meet some of their friends that we hear about all the time! Nice people!

Saturday was the game. DIS-A-PPOINTING! Horrible, actually. What is wrong with OU? I will tell you - they are being out coached. For the last 10 seasons we have run the exact same plays. Kevin Wilson - Can you hear me? ;) The highlight of the game for me was our friend Kim and her excitement about her OU Snuggie! Hilarious!
