The weekend came and went quickly! My dad and his wife stayed with us from Thursday until this morning. It was a really nice visit. My dad is battling bone cancer and it is really hard to see a man, that once was a professional football player, now be so weak. He has a tough, stubborn spirit though, so my hopes are very optimistic. Saturday night we went to my cousin’s house for dinner. Most of that side of my family, I have not seen in over 21 years. Isn’t that crazy? I have cousins that live 8 miles from me, but I barely know them. We vowed to make our relationship stronger. The highlight of rekindling with the fam was my cousins daughter, Jane Marie. Look how precious she is:
We absolutely fell in love with her. (My husband has a special spot in his heart for little girls- me on the other hand can just see the 15 years of future drama!!!) She is the chubbiest little thing with rolls in places I did not know babies could have them. She was never cranky and would laugh that sweet deep belly laugh, it was truly angelic. Oh! She is precious. Another positive is her mother is obsessed with Room to Dream, as am I, so we had a lot to talk about! She tells me my cousin takes her wallet from her when she goes in, but I doubt that is true because he is over the moon to be her daddy! It is remarkable.
This coming Saturday could quite possibly be the busiest day of my life. I have a Junior League commitment, 2 birthday parties, an anniversary party and a wedding. Something’s got to give! Isn’t that weird how one minute you can be completely free and then everything happens on that day? You can have all weekend, but one day overbooks! Usually I could handle it, but since I will be on the shots, my attitude will not allow it! I wear out easily…
Wednesday, we will start blogging daily until I am pregnant! I know a lot of people have been asking me why we are not on as much anymore, but we really are not that exciting! I cannot wait until we can blog about the babies and add pictures and updates – how fun! Having a blog is such a great outlet to keep family and friends that are out of state afloat with your life. I am BLESSED to have my friend, Melodie, who introduced me to this!
Talk soon!

My goodness - don't stress yourself out about Saturday - we all need you relaxed and making good eggs, and LOTS of them! ;)
ReplyDeleteDo what you can do, but if you guys can't make it down, it's okay! Let me know what you decide - have a good last "no-shot" day!
