Day Ninety: Finally!

This is what our night consisted of:

Clearing out our DVR because we haven't been home to watch any of our shows!

Day Eighty Nine: FOOD BANK!

We went to the Regional Food Bank's fundraiser - Chefs' Table. It was a blast tasting all different kinds of food and wine around OKC. We participated in the wine pull, and while we didn't get our money's worth, we did get Pinot Noir, so all is right with the world.

Day Eighty Eight: Still Unpacking

So my mom brought over a bunch of stuff to donate to the Casual for Kids campaign. This is what I have been doing all night.

Day Eighty Seven: Easter Bunnies

So, Bo loves stuffed animals. Needless to say ALL night last night, he stared at the mantle because of these:

Day Eighty Six: Bittersweet...

So last night my friend Chelsey came over and after we finished working on a project, we decided it was time to go into the nursery and pack it up. At first we laughed at all the clothes, and how this little girl would be dressing better than we were and then it would get sad. We took the bedding off of the crib, the picture frames down, the sign that had her name on it and anything pink. We figured we would leave all gender neutral stuff in the nursery just in case we do this again. I found myself having nightmares all night, and woke up groggy, but I think I might have closure.

Day Eighty Five: Antique Shopping!

Today I spent the day shopping with Chelsey. Unfortunately (or FORTUNATELY for our husbands) we didn't find one thing to buy! That is really unusual for me and Chels! Oh well, still a success when I got to see this guy:

Day Eighty Four: Lazy Saturday

Maybe it is because we got home last night somewhere between 3-4am or the fact that as soon as we got up I ran errands, OR the fact that I have had something almost every night this week, but I was L-A-Z-Y today! I asked my husband to get my Easter decor out of the garage because I was going to decorate, but this is as far as I got:

Whoops...

Day Eighty Three: JIMI!

Last night I went with some friends to see the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour to see a bunch of really cool guitarists play his music. It was fun. We also gambled a little, since it was at the Winstar casino, and I ended up leaving with $40 less than I came with (including food and beverages) so to me, that's a winner!

Day Eighty Two: HUNGER GAMES!

Last night we had book club to discuss the final book of the Hunger Games series! I am so excited for the movie!!

Day Eighty One: Snuggles with the Pups

Tonight was another night of rain. Bo officially has thunderstorm anxiety, amongst other types. So, when thunderstorms come in, Bo freaks and we have to put his Thunder Shirt (no relation) on. It is really called a Thunder Shirt, and I highly recommend it. It makes him relax so well. Well tonight, he relaxed on me and I fell asleep with him. Snugly-Wugly.

Day Eighty: Yummy

Tonight we met our friends Aaron and Judy for a delicious dinner at Caffe Pranzo. I love this restaurant, but know every time not to be rushed. It is authentic Italian, but takes a long time. Yummy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMI!

Day Seventy Nine: Trying to Lose Weight in the Rain

So because it was so wet outside tonight, we did this:

It is a lot of fun!

Day Seventy Eight: St. Paddy's Day Party = Success

So today we have been cleaning up from last night's party. It was one of the best parties we have had. So much fun with so many dear friends. We had a faux photo booth with props and it was hilarious. Here are some pics from the fun night:

People always tell us we look like we have so much fun, and we totally do. However, our life is just not complete. We entertain so much because we need to do something to keep our life exciting until we can add a little one into the mix. We have struggled with infertility now for 3 years (not counting the miscarriage months after we were married... we weren't trying then) and I think people that haven't suffered through it don't realize the toll it takes on your spirit. But, rather than pout and be depressed all the time, we choose to put a smile on our faces and deal the world with the life that has been chosen for us. As the young one's would say, "Don't get it twisted" (I have to use phrases to keep me young) it is a DAILY struggle. Have a good Monday!

Day Seventy Seven: Happy St. Patricks Day! Pigs?

This morning, between running errands to prepare for our St. Patrick's Day party, we stopped at the fairgrounds to see hogs. Yes, hogs. My husband's cousin came to town with his son for a big show. The most interesting thing about this pig show was that you can buy viles of pig sperm.... Did you know that? Weird morning....

Day Seventy Six: St. Patty's Prep

So tomorrow night is our St. Patty's day party and exactly one month until the BIG 35! Ugh... Tonight's main focus was downloading appropriate music for the party. Thank goodness for these guys:

Day Seventy Five: Garage Sale Leftovers

So I am on the committee for Casual 4 Kids at my office. It is a campaign to bring awareness to the seriousness of child abuse in Oklahoma. Do you know that in Oklahoma County last year, there were 1,802 cases of CONFIRMED child abuse? That's gross. Well, we decided to have an online auction to raise money and what better to donate than my leftover garage sale items?

The hubs and I tackled that as soon as I got home from work, and I am glad it is over. It is MUGGY out there!

Day Seventy Four: Good Product

Nothing exciting happened on Wednesday, just same ole'-same ole'. I am a girl that loves to share a good product, though...

We all know I have out-of-control hair. While in Fort Worth, the humidity was just too much, so I had to buy a last minute product to help with frizz. I am now addicted to it!

If you suffer from frizzy hair, you need this in your life!

Seventy Three: Thunder Up!

Tonight we went to the Thunder game. Me, the hubs, my friend Ashley, and Aunt Kimmy. LOVE her!

Day Seventy Two: Irish Art

In preparation for our St. Patty's Day party, I made a stamp art sign... Well, I attempted, but I am still going to use it!

Day Seventy One: NYC

So you know my husband and I are obsessed with New York City. My husband is especially obsessed with the Flatiron building and when we go, he has to take 1,000 pictures of it. IKEA has a large canvas of the landscape, but we never got it because we had nowhere to put it. Well... we do now.... our BLACK guest room.
Here it is:

Day Seventy: Fort Worth, Part Deux

Well today has been a little dreary. This is the view from the hotel:

It has been raining all day, so all outdoor shopping has been canceled. We are going to dinner tonight though:

Hopefully it is all it is cut out to be!

Day Sixty Nine: Day One in Fort Worth

Well today we made our way down to Ft. Worth to spend some time with Lance and Anna Ruth.

First my husband and I went to:

Then we went to:

And finished it off by meeting the in-laws @ Joe T. Garcia's. A great start to a weekend getaway.

Day Sixty Seven: Muslim

So I have been sitting on an interview panel for the last couple of days with my friend, Sam, and a man I just met named Nabil. I didn't know much about him before these interviews, and after the last couple of days, I think he might be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Just a really good heart. Upon talking with him I discovered he was Muslim (I kinda' jumped to conclusions and figured as much) and he told me about his Faith. It is funny how similar it is to Christianity. He believes in the New Testament and all, it just comes down to Jesus and Mohammed. He has a lot of respect for Jesus, and believes he is a Prophet, just not the Son of God. We also talked about the radical terrorists and how he cannot understand where they come from because in their religion, murder sends you right to Hell. No forgiveness. Very interesting. It makes me question what will really happen to people that believe in Jesus (just not as the Son of God) and believe in the same God while living morally strong. Can we really say they won't go to Heaven? If we were born in Lebanon or Saudi Arabia would we be Muslims? They think they are as right as we are regarding our Faith and we are all speaking to the same God, remember? So weird... And, regardless, look how cute these kiddos are!

Day Sixty Six: Voting

Well today was Super Tuesday, and I am disappointed in my state! We need to unite together and vote for the person that would be MOST likely to become the next president, not the person we personally like. News flash - We are talking about politicians! Can we really have total faith in a candidate??

Day Sixty Five: HI-larious

Did anyone catch this last night? SUCH a funny show! I hope it lasts!

Day Sixty Four: Decorating

Today we cleaned and decorated for St. Patty's Day.

That is about all we did. Today was a little melancholy. I am having a poor pitiful me day. I was just thinking that we should have a baby that is about to be 3 months old, but instead we have an empty nursery. It is so hard. I thought by now, I'd be over it, but instead I put on my smile and attend baby showers while dying on the inside. I am also REALLY sick of women who take pregnancy for granted. Two separate friends told me stories yesterday of women they know who are really worried about getting "fat" during pregnancy. I want to punch those women. How about worrying about NOT getting "fat" because that means you have an unhealthy pregnancy, genius. Some people amaze me... I mean what is wrong with this world? I would LITERALLY cut off a leg if I could get pregnant and have a healthy baby. Serious, prosthetic and all; WOULD. NOT. CARE. Ugh! People!

Day Sixty Three: Pinkiztel

Today I went to a baby shower for my friend Julia. It was at a place called Pinkitzel downtown, and absolutely darling with cupcakes galore!

Day Sixty Two: Shopping!

We had a girls night out this evening, and we went to the outlet mall. My friend, John, works at Saks and hooked us up with GREAT bargains!

Day Sixty One: SHOES!

Nordstroms was having a huge shoe sale and I was lucky enough to snatch these up:

They came in the mail today and I am EXCITED! They are the coolest color of hot pink I have ever seen. My husband and I figured that I will be between 6'1 and 6'2, but who cares?

Day Sixty: Leap Day

Nothing exciting happened on Leap Day. It was actually rather boring! Isn't Leap Day the day when you are supposed to do something fun and outrageous? Maybe 2016....

If you didn't catch 30 Rock's Leap Day special, you should!
