I Think I Need to Be a Derby Girl...

Friday night Z and I went with our friends, Steve & Michelle, to the Roller Derby. Oklahoma played Texas and we got SMOKED! We lost by 100 points. Ouch. The whole time we were watching the derby, pointing out to our husbands' the amazing bodies these women had, and talking about what a tension release this would be. As many of you know, I am VERY high strung, and I need a way to release the madness inside me. Yoga, not going to do it. I don't have the patience to meditate.... I need something aggressive, hence roller derby! Here is the only problem; I don't know how to roller skate! Well, and let's get real, the minute I got an elbow to the ribcage, I would be crying!

After the derby, we went to my new fave, Big Truck Tacos. Delish! It was hard for my husband to find something he likes, since he only eats out of 2 food groups... Luckily he found tacos with chicken only. After eating, we went to a karaoke bar where the average age was 65 and Conway Twitty was the artist de jour. Steve & Michelle felt bad, since they recommended the place, but all was good when Steve sang "Rhythm of the Night" by DeBarge. O.M.G. It was hilarious! He was really hitting those high notes, too! On the way home from karaoke, I asked Z why he never sings. Honestly, he has an amazing voice. I think he is just too shy. If I could sing 1/2 as good ashe could, I would be singing this blog and making you all listen to it! ~ Amy
